In the twilight of his life, Mike, an average American from Kentucky, is convinced of one thing: his son Kelly, only 39 years old and father of a little girl, has been murdered. The police have closed the case, but Mike intends to find out the truth. Throughout his investigation, the old man remember his life. The American twentieth century emerges in the background.
